MARGARITA GEORGIADIS - SNAPSHOT EXHIBITION

11 AUGUST - 9 SEPTEMBER 2017

ARTIST TALK THURSDAY 24 AUGUST AT 12 NOON

These paintings were inspired by Georgiadis's solo journey into the NSW landscape in 2015, across some of the most remote and desolate outback regions.

Crossing vast swathes of desert country, and heading north east of Broken Hill, Georgiadis discovered Mutawintji Gorge.  It was here that Georgiadis found the essence of the outback she had been searching for for months.

Tackling the desert alone and exploring the area for a single day, the sheer beauty and majesty of it captured the artist - and Georgiadis continues to be inspired by this sacred place.  The remoteness, The isolation. The long never ending red dirt roads. The solitude. The silence.
